CAAD Invation Games

CAAD Invation GamesFestival 2010 

Well done to all pupils who took part in the Invasion Games Festival at Mounbatten Centre on Tuesday 19th January 2010.   This festival was targeted at pupils who are Gifted and Talented in invasions games from years 5 – 11 and was scored according to the County Athlete Assessment Development. 

Once again Havant & Waterlooville School Sports Partnership and Portsmouth School Sports Partnership combined their efforts to provide the event for the following schools; Cliffdale, Riverside and Mary Rose.  The event involved a carousal of three Invasion Games including Football, Rugby and Wheelchair Basketball.  

 Congratulation to all pupils for winning the following awards

 Cliffdale Primary

Gold       = 2 pupils

Silver      = 7 pupils 

 

Mary Rose School

Silver       = 3 pupils

Bronze     = 4 pupils 

 

Riverside Community Special School

Silver      = 5 pupils

Bronze    = 6 pupils 

 

A special thank you all staff, coaches and helpers from Portsmouth Community Rugby Club, Hampshire Football Club, GB Wheelchair Basketball coaches, Solent Youth Action Volunteer Programme and Portsmouth Sports Development for the event would not have been possible without your help.

Racket Skills Nov

      Portsmouth School Sport Partnership Year 3 and 4

Racket Skills Festival Nov 2009

 

There were 14 teams who attended a fun afternoon at Priory Sports College for the Partnership  

Racket Skills festival on Tuesday 17th November

.Schools attended;

§  Highbury Primary      2 teams

§  Flying Bull                  2 Teams

§  Arundel Court            3 Teams

§  Somers Park             2 Teams

§  Langstone Junior      1 Team

§  Charles Dickens       2 Teams

§  Milton Park Primary  2 Teams

 

The Festival was assisted with help from Priory School Sports Leaders who were outstanding. Everyone had a great time learning new skills and the top 3 teams were from Highbury Primary and Charles Dickens School. 

Hope to see more teams next April at the next Racket Skills festival!
